FEATURED CLUB CARD PROVIDER-LACMA

Tell us a little about the Jazz at LACMA series. How did the idea get started?
Now in its twenty-first season, Jazz at LACMA features Los Angeles's finest musicians in a free concert series that runs from April through November every year. The series started very simply in 1982 with a few local piano trios and has grown to feature such legendary artists as Wayne Shorter, the Bill Holman Big Band, Les McCann, and John and Gerald Clayton.

What do you have lined up for this year's concerts?
This year's series opens with guitarist Kenny Burrell along with the debut of the Los Angeles Jazz Orchestra Unlimited. Future concerts this spring feature saxophonist Bob Mintzer and keyboardist Russell Ferrante, vocalist Ernie Andrews, drummer Alphonse Mouzon, and saxophonist Ernie Watts.

What upcoming exhibits would you like to tell our members about?
We are very excited about our current exhibition In Wonderland: The Surrealist Adventures of Women Artists in Mexico and the United States. This exhibition features groundbreaking surrealist art by the likes of Frida Kahlo, Dorothea Tanning, Remedios Varo, and others. Be sure to join LACMA and get your two free tickets to In Wonderland before it closes on May 6!
