April is Jazz Appreciation Month and we want you to be part of the celebration! This is a special month to draw greater public attention to the extraordinary heritage and history of jazz and its importance to American culture. KJazz is committed to the preservation and continuation of this true American art form. We want to know what jazz means to you and why you think it's important to keep this music alive. Tell us what you appreciate about jazz and KJazz and you might hear your comments on the air throughout the month of April.
You can also show your appreciation for KJazz with a financial contribution! Pledge online now to support this precious music. Anyone who pledges $50 or more will receive a Jazz Appreciation Month Poster featuring composer, pianist Billy Strayhorn by African American artist Keith Henry Brown while supplies last! 2015 is Billy Strayhorn's centennial celebration. As you may have noticed, we haven't interrupted our programming for our regular 9 day Spring Membership Drive, so this would be an especially good time to become a member, renew or make an additional donation to KJazz.

And, we'll show our appreciation in return with some cool thank-you gifts such as CDs, concert tickets to Ventura County Blues Festival on Saturday, April 25th, Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Greek Theatre on Wednesday, June 10th, VIP and GA tickets to the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival over Memorial weekend, Indie Blues Nights at Saint Rocke hosted by Gary Wagner - The Wagman on Sunday, April 19th, May 3rd and June 7th, exclusive limited vinyl, box sets, passes to Contemporary Crafts Market at the Pasadena Convention Center from June 5 -7, 2015, Playboy Jazz Festival boxes and bench seats for Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th, Hollywood Bowl Summer Jazz series boxes and bench seats and much more!
